Darul Uloom Abu Hanifah presents a full-time Alimah Program Urdu Online . It is a well-designed and structured Islamic studies program based on the traditional madrasah curriculum taught in the greatest Islamic institutions of the Hanafi School of thought; Darul Uloom Deoband and Mazahirul Uloom Saharanpur. This program is uniquely structured and well-suited for students and professionals alike who would like to pursue their higher Islamic educational goals but are unable to take on-site classes.
The Alimah Program Urdu Online is a sacred path with an unbroken chain leading the seeker of knowledge to inherit the legacy of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Taught by certified scholars in a traditional environment, Alimah Program Urdu Online educates students of knowledge by teaching them to not only comprehend but to be able to practice and teach the Islamic Sciences. The Islamic Sciences taught at the institute allow students to develop an in-depth understanding of Arabic Grammar, Tajweed, Arabic Literature, Tafseer al-Qur‘an, hadith, Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh), and Islamic History.
Key Features of the Program
In using an Urdu medium, our five-year Islamic Sciences program was designed and developed to cater specifically to Urdu-speaking students all over the world. Darul Uloom Abu Hanifah’s Alim program not only imparts authentic knowledge but teaches its practical application with correct understanding. This program was designed to fit the schedules of such students so that they can pursue excellence in their respective fields and also pursue expertise in the Islamic sciences by becoming an Alimah. The classes in this program’s initial years occur five times during weekdays throughout the day, totaling 9 hours of class time per week.
Although the content of this program is based on the full-time 8 years Traditional Alim Program Curriculum, the level achieved is not the same. But it is much more than any other part-time alimiyyah degree and even some full-time degrees. Students of the Alimah Program Urdu Online at Darul Uloom Abu Hanifah will not only cover all the subjects and materials in a full-fledged higher Islamic Sciences program but will master the following:
Arabic Grammar (Syntax, Morphology, etc.)
Arabic Literature (Speech, Composition, and Rhetoric)
Islamic Theology / Creed (‘Aqidah)
Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence)
Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence (Usul al-Fiqh)
Hadith (Prophetic Traditions)
Ulum al-Hadith (Sciences of Hadith Interpretation)
Tafsir al-Quran (Exegesis)
Usul al-Tafsir (Principles of Exegesis)
Seerah (Prophetic Biography)
Logic and Philosophy (Mantiq/Falsafah)
Structure
The format of our Alimah Program Urdu Online is based on our hands-on experience teaching and mentoring various students of knowledge over a program of several years. Consultations with students in the program and reviewing their unique situations allowed us to develop a uniquely structured program that takes into account the circumstances of today’s busy student or professional without compromising on the quality of Islamic education.
Rigorous Learning
Our students are expected to engage themselves in the learning process at a very high level by actively analyzing and synthesizing the content under study. Students in our program do the bulk of the work in terms of preparing for lessons and understanding them. The teacher, in the traditional style, guides the students in the right direction and is available to clarify concepts further.
The three main components of the learning process in our program are:
(1) Self-study i.e. preparing the lesson ahead of the class comprehensively
(2) Revision of the lessons of the day
(3) Delivery of the lesson to the teacher and the class.
Objective
The aim of the Alimah Program Urdu Online curriculum is to produce Ulama (scholars) and leaders who are competent in the Islamic sciences such as Tafsir and Hadith possessing the professional skills necessary to serve, guide and lead the Muslim community with excellence. In addition to imparting knowledge and skills, the curriculum, and the environment within which it is taught is designed to produce scholars whose scholarship is marked by tradition, intelligence, piety, responsibility, and generosity of spirit, ensuring that we are not simply producing academics and professionals seeking a career but are reproducing the selfless spirit that has always been so characteristic of Islamic scholarship.
Students of the program will gain many necessary skills for becoming upright law-abiding citizens and help develop the future community of Muslims in every part of the world. Along with studying the Islamic Sciences, our Student Development Program teaches our students how to deliver khutbahs, speeches, conducting halaqahs, and propagating the Deen.
Duration
This program is a two-part program. Admission is initially offered into the first part, which lasts 3 years. Based on academic achievement, commitment, and dedication to spiritual development, students will be selected for admission into the second part, which lasts 2 additional years. Students will cover all of the required subjects of a full-time Islamic studies program along with electives to expand their knowledge.
Instructors
All of the Alimah Program Urdu Online teachers at Darul Uloom Abu Hanifah are certified scholars from Darul Uloom Deoband and its affiliates. Each teacher has studied at an Islamic institution from which they have received ijazah (traditional certification/license) to teach the Islamic Sciences. They are qualified to disseminate the tremendous amount of knowledge that they possess in various languages; Alimah Program Urdu Online instructors are proficient in Arabic and Urdu.
Medium
The programs are initially offered in the Urdu language. Students are also encouraged to develop Urdu comprehension so that they can benefit from the monumental work done on the Islamic Sciences in the Urdu language.
Darul Uloom Abu Hanifah stresses diversity in its student population, admitting students from all cultural and social backgrounds. The program is not designed to be exclusively reflective of any particular culture or ethnic background.
